COVID–19 Safety

Our full exhibition programme is now closed, but visitors can still enjoy groundbreaking art in person at FACT and Bluecoat until August & September.

Liverpool Biennial has been working with its partners across the city, as well as Public Health Liverpool and members of the Safety Advisory Group, to help ensure the Biennial is as safe as possible for all visitors.

Help Us Keep You Safe

In order to keep yourself and everyone around you safe, we ask that all visitors please observe the following health and safety guidelines:

Who can visit?

• Please only visit with people from your household or support bubble (maximum group size of six).

What do I need to do when at a Liverpool Biennial exhibition?

• Have your timed ticket ready to show in advance (if you have one)
• Wear a face covering or mask at all times, unless you are medically exempt. Not all exemptions are visible so please be understanding of others
• Use the hand sanitiser provided and continue to wash your hands regularly
• Remember to practice social distancing at all times, and follow any one-way routes marked out within the venues
• Please be respectful and patient with other visitors
• If possible, get tested before your visit. Details of the nearest no-symptoms test centre can be found here

Most importantly, if you or anyone you live with has COVID-19 symptoms, or if you have recently been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, please stay at home.

What additional safety measures are in place?

• Venues without a booking system have decreased their capacities to keep you safe
• Sanitising stations are provided at every venue
• All staff will be wearing face coverings and appropriate PPE, unless exempt and screens are in place at desks
• Some exhibitions have one-way systems, usually marked by floor arrows and signage within the spaces
