Our full exhibition programme, including our public artworks, is now closed. Visitors can still enjoy art in person at FACT and Bluecoat until August & September.
Find answers to the most commonly asked questions regarding ticketing and online bookings.
Are there any booking fees?
No, all timed tickets to Liverpool Biennial exhibitions are completely free.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to help us continue our work with artists and communities. Now more than ever, we need your support.
Do I have to book tickets to visit Biennial exhibitions?
We’re recommending that visitors book a timed ticket online in advance where applicable. This will help us carefully manage the number of people in the venues at any one time, and ensure everyone can keep a safe distance.
The majority of Liverpool Biennial venues require a timed ticket. A full list of which venues do and do not require tickets is below.
Places are limited so we do recommend booking your free place in advance. If you visit on the day you are very welcome, but entry times will depend on capacity. Ticket holders will be prioritised.
One ticket per visitor, per venue is required. This includes children of all ages.

Are tickets timed?
Yes – all Liverpool Biennial tickets are timed, meaning you’ll book for a specific time slot to enter the exhibition.
In most cases, you will only be able to enter between the times stated on your ticket. This enables us to manage numbers and help keep everyone safe.
You are welcome to stay in an exhibition for as long as you like, within venue operating hours. Once you leave the exhibition re-admission is not permitted without a new ticket.
Are there guided tours in exhibitions available?
In the interest of keeping everybody safe, we are unfortunately not able to offer guided tours of Liverpool Biennial exhibitions at this time.
There will be a number of free, guided video tours available on our Online Portal, and friendly staff at each venue will be more than happy to answer any queries you have about the work or artists.
How do e-tickets work?
After booking online, you will receive your PDF e-tickets by email. You will receive a booking confirmation email, followed by an e-ticket email which contains a pdf document of your e-tickets.
You will be required to show the PDF e-ticket at the exhibition/event entrance – either on your phone or tablet, or if you prefer you can bring a printed version.
Unfortunately, we are unable to print or post tickets.
I’ve booked a ticket but can no longer attend, what should I do?
To keep everyone safe, we’ve limited the number of visitors allowed in the galleries at any one time. The number of tickets available for any one time slot is therefore limited. If you’ve booked a free ticket but are no longer able to attend, we kindly ask that you let us know by emailing [email protected] so that we can release your ticket to another visitor.
I cannot find or have lost access to my e-tickets after booking.
If you booked online and cannot find the PDF e-tickets email, you can request e-tickets to be resent by emailing [email protected]
